Using video in the language classroom

We now live in a world where video is all around us. We see moving images at home, on public transportation, and on our mobile devices. It only makes sense that we use this medium in our language classrooms as well. But with the changing nature and availability of videos, how can we be sure we are exploiting them to their full effect in our classrooms? This session will aim to look at different ways and reasons to use videos in class and to give participants a chance to practice the skill of using a video as a text in the classroom.

対面でも遠隔でも変わらぬ英語授業の本質 –遠隔授業の実践から見えてきたこと・再確認できたこと–

向後秀明先生 (敬愛大学英語教育開発センター長・国際学部国際学科教授)

Covid-19によって、学校教育も大きな影響を受けました。私自身も、同時双方向型による遠隔授業を経験して新たな気付きがあったと同時に、英語の授業には対面でも遠隔でも共通して持っておくべき重要な要素（条件）があることを再確認しました。これらのことについて、ケンブリッジ大学出版のテキストを用いた事例を交えながら皆さんと考えていきたいと思います。
