“My students love this title. One of our best moments in teaching and learning English was when we reached unit 2 in level 1.

We were reading a text about tips for a healthy diet in the across the curriculum section on Science. One day, some students came to me saying that since that moment they had changed their eating habits and the kinds of food that they eat.

In tips for a healthy diet, they learnt the difference between natural food, processed food and ultra-processed food. They also learnt how to be careful with processed food, avoid ultra-processed food, to have meals with family, eat a variety food and try to have a meat-free day, too.

The students said that studying Science in English is a great opportunity not only to learn other language, but also to discuss and give tips about healthy diets.
